CySlip in Cyprus
Staff scheduling and time tracking for Cyprus businesses
A Cyprus employer has to pay at least the minimum wage, issue a payslip within five working days, and produce working-time records when a Labour Inspector asks for them. A rota in a group chat does none of that.
What Cyprus law asks of you, in numbers
- €979 / €1,088National minimum wageFrom 1 January 2026: €979 gross a month until six continuous months with the same employer, then €1,088. The decrees do not cover domestic workers, agricultural and livestock workers, or people working in shipping. Hotel staff have their own instrument, the Minimum Wages in the Hotel Industry Decree of 2025.Ministry of Labour, Department of Labour Relations
- 5 working daysTo issue a payslipEvery employer must issue a monthly or weekly payslip, on paper or electronically, within five working days of the wage payment date. The Protection of Wages Law applies to all employees.Ministry of Labour, Protection of Wages
- 48 hoursMaximum average working weekIncluding overtime, averaged over a four-month reference period. An employer must keep records naming everyone who works beyond it, and produce them for the Ministry of Labour on request.Theodorou Law Firm, on the Organisation of Working Time Law
- ≈15.4%Employer contributionsOn top of gross salary: Social Insurance 8.8%, GESY 2.9%, Social Cohesion Fund 2.0%, Redundancy Fund 1.2%, HRDA 0.5%. Most of these stop at the insurable earnings ceiling, which is €68,904 for 2026.PwC Worldwide Tax Summaries, Cyprus

Every duty on the left produces evidence on the right
Keep records of working time
An employer must keep records of working time and make them available to the Ministry of Labour, including the names of everyone working more than 48 hours in a week.
In CySlipEvery clock-in and clock-out is timestamped against the shift it belongs to, and stays in your account. A correction is recorded as a correction rather than overwriting what was there.
Issue a payslip within five working days
Written or electronic, for every employee, every pay run.
In CySlipHours, overtime and enhanced rates are totalled per employee and exported in a sheet your accountant or payroll provider works from, so nobody retypes a number.
Pay at least the national minimum wage
€979 a month on hire and €1,088 after six continuous months, from 1 January 2026, for the sectors the decrees cover.
In CySlipRates are set per employee and applied to the hours actually recorded, so an under-payment is visible in the same place the hours are.
Respect maximum weekly working time
Averaged over the reference period, with records for anyone above 48 hours in a week.
In CySlipHours accumulate per person as the week runs, and overtime past the scheduled shift end is separated from regular hours rather than folded into one total.
Show a Labour Inspector what happened
The Ministry of Labour runs a dedicated Inspection Service, and its inspectors can enter a workplace and examine employment, payroll and working-time records.
In CySlipA searchable record of who was scheduled, who actually clocked in, and what changed. A photo of a rota in a group chat is not a record.
The record an inspector asks for
Who was scheduled, who actually clocked in, what changed and who changed it. Held per employee, searchable by week, and exportable when somebody needs a copy.
- PIN clock-in on any device you already own
- Punches matched to the shift they belong to
- Corrections recorded as corrections
- Monthly export split into regular, overtime and premium

Questions from Cyprus employers
Is CySlip built for Cyprus?
Yes. It is built and hosted in the EU by a team in Cyprus, priced in euro, and set up for the record-keeping a Cyprus employer is asked for. Timezone and currency are configured per account.
Does CySlip file my social insurance or run payroll?
No. CySlip records working time and calculates what those hours cost, then exports a sheet your accountant or payroll provider works from. It does not file with Social Insurance Services or the Tax Department.
Does it handle the 13th salary?
A 13th salary is not required by Cyprus law, but it becomes binding if a contract, a collective agreement or established company practice provides for it. CySlip records hours and hourly or monthly pay; a 13th-month payment is handled in payroll, not here.
Is CySlip GDPR compliant?
CySlip is built and operated in the EU under the GDPR and Cyprus data-protection law. Our Privacy Policy sets out what is collected, why, and how long it is kept.
Do I need to buy a clock-in terminal?
No. Any phone, tablet or old laptop becomes a PIN clock-in station, and every plan includes unlimited devices.
What does it cost?
Starter is €40 a month for scheduling and clock-ins. Premium is €54 a month at the launch price, normally €69, and adds pay calculations, overtime, exports and SMS. Both include ten employees.
